Level 2 Mathematics
MAT201 Course DescriptionTeacher in Charge: Mr T. Montgomery.
Recommended Prior LearningPre-Requisite: 12 credits from NCEA Level 1 Mathematics Achievement Standards.
This is a full Level 2 mathematics course that prepares students with the skills required to successfully attempt the Level 3 Mathematics in the following year.
Topics covered will be selected from these topics as appropriate: Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Networks, Statistical Inference, Probability, Simulation, Algebra and Introduction to Calculus.
The externally assessed standards will be a combination of Probability, Algebra, and Introductory Calculus. Students will be entered for the exams that they need in order to prepare properly them for their year 13 course in 2026.
