Level 2 Sports Performance
Course Description
Teacher in Charge:
This is a predominantly unit standard based course designed to get students participating in various sporting and outdoor activities.
This is balanced with theory work to understand how we perform as a team and as individuals.
Students will participate in body in motion, outdoor activities (high & low ropes) and demonstrate quality performance in a physical activity.
Credits in this course make a significant contribution to achievement towards NCEA Level 2.
There will be a chance to complete the Duke of Edinburgh Gold award, if the students have already completed bronze and silver.
Recommended Prior Learning
Pre-Requisite: Level 1 Sports Performance, or in a sports team, or entry into this course is at the discretion of the HOD.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
TCPE gear is compulsory.
