Level 2 Mathematics
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr T. Montgomery.
This is a full Level 2 mathematics course that prepares students with the skills required to successfully attempt the Level 3 Mathematics in the following year.
Topics covered will be selected from these topics as appropriate: Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Networks, Statistical Inference, Probability, Simulation, Algebra and Introduction to Calculus.
The externally assessed standards will be a combination of Probability, Algebra, and Introductory Calculus. Students will be entered for the exams that they need in order to prepare properly them for their year 13 course in 2026.
Recommended Prior Learning
Pre-Requisite: 12 credits from NCEA Level 1 Mathematics Achievement Standards.
