Year 10 Music

In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of music theory, create their own compositions using DAWs such as GarageBand and Soundtrap, and explore into the rich musical heritage of New Zealand through research projects. They will also develop their instrumental skills through individual and group performances, gaining hands-on experience with music production tools and techniques. Collaborative projects will help students work together and be creative. This makes the music course engaging and suitable for both new musicians and those interested in learning about music.

This option should be studied in Year 10 if you intend to take it as an NCEA Level 1 subject in 2025.
